Video Questionnaire

Here is our video questionnaire which was conducted towards our target audience:



What we found:
From the questionnaire which was conducted, we found that majority of our target audience who are teenagers, like teen and dance pop. This means that in our music video we will need to have a lively song and for us to incorporate some form of a dance routine in it. We also found that majority of our target audience prefers watching a music video which has a story line because it seems to be more intriguing. This means that we must include some form of a storyline in our music video in order for it to be more interesting and intriguing. Something else what we found is that our target audience enjoys having a mixture of both in terms of storyline and performance as it keeps it interesting. Majority of our target audience watch music videos maximum 7 times a week, however if the music video is appealing then they will watch the music video over and over again due to the fact that they feel the need to. Therefor, we need to ensure that our music video is one which our target audience will want to constantly watch it over and over again. We can do this by ensuring that we incorporate all of the features that the target audience wants which is displayed above. Something else that we also managed to pick out was how our target market generally find bright colours appealing. So in order for our music video to be successful we must take bright colours into consideration when thinking about mise en scene. Another finding is how our target audience enjoy seeing props which are related to the music video such as instruments.

Finally I did discover that our target market enjoy watching music videos from artists such as: Drake, Rihanna and Michael Jackson. We will need to take some inspiration off these artist's music videos.
